It’s time women heard the truth about the stories they were given…

A woman with curly hair, wearing a black dress and sneakers, is standing next to a pink door and a pink column, smiling at the camera.
A woman with a smile, wearing a long black dress, white sneakers, and hoop earrings, walking outside in front of a background of red and green foliage and a building with large windows.

Hi, I'm Jasmine, a mythologist on a mission…

For years I approached ancient myth the "proper" way: footnoted, careful, safely academic. What I couldn't shake was how often the patriarchy had quietly rewritten these stories, sanding down the goddesses, sidelining the warrior women, turning complex female figures into warnings, sidekicks, or footnotes in someone else's tale. So I started doing something about it - going back into the myths and pulling women out of the margins they'd been shoved into.

That's the mission behind everything I do now. Through my books (Goddesses and Slay), my podcast Myth Understood, and The Path, my community for women using mythology as a real tool for their own lives, I'm on a mission of recovery and reclamation. Uncovering the stories that were buried, stripped, or twisted, and handing them back to women the way they were always meant to be: powerful, complicated, and entirely theirs. I do this with the modern woman in mind, putting us back at the centre of our stories once more.

I live in Devon with my husband, son, and a small army of cats. If you're ready to look at these old stories with new eyes, and maybe recognise a bit of yourself in them, you're in the right place.
